Celebrate Easter in Style at Laborie

Easter is almost here, and it’s one of our favourite times of the year. After the warm summer days begin to cool in the Winelands, the change of season welcomes a kaleidoscope of colours, picturesque views and a sense of serenity within the region.

For many, Easter traditions involve spending the holiday with family and reflecting on what means the most to us and our loved ones. Which is why we invite you to join us at Laborie over this special time for a relaxed family feast celebration. From farm-fresh fare to homemade delights and delicious mimosas, we have something for everyone this Easter.

Chef Melissa Bird has created an exciting Easter inspired menu combining an array of generous sharing dishes for the whole family to enjoy, at the newly opened Stoep Bistro. Expect flavourful specialities to the table, like Curried pickled fish; fresh Garden salad; Roasted grass-fed sirloin; Garlic, lemon & thyme chicken; Buttered seasonal vegetables; Oven roasted baby potatoes & Caramelized onion jus, and for dessert, Chocolate marula marshmallows; Hot cross buns with honey butter and Granadilla Eton mess. Our fantastic wine list includes the most interesting wines of the Paarl region and pairs perfectly with these innovative dishes.

If you prefer to relax on the lush green lawns, Laborie is offering a special Easter picnic under the trees. Each basket will be filled with wholesome treats and farm-made delicacies, including Grand Brie with preserve, pickles, bread & crackers; Grilled chicken, cucumber, pineapple, feta & pepperdew aioli tortilla wrap; Curried pickled fish; Mushroom Arancini; Sticky chicken wings; fresh Garden salad with feta; Chocolate crinkle cookie and Hot cross buns.

The Avenue coffee shop will be serving hot-cross buns fresh from the oven, while our Avenue Food Market and Mimosa Bar will be offering interesting street foods from around the world and a wide selection of mimosas, cocktails, craft gins, sparkling MCC’s and locally produced wines.
