On a perfect spring evening in Paarl, the avenue came alive with laughter, the soft pop of champagne, and that unmistakable Laborie energy. Guests arrived dressed to impress, ready for an evening where film met fine living — and where the vineyards themselves felt like part of the scene.
Bubbly was poured, canapés were passed, and the conversation flowed easily beneath the lights. Friends reconnected, new ones were made, and before long, everyone was ready for the main event — movie night at The Audrium, our new 60-seater cinema nestled in the heart of Laborie Estate.
As the sun dipped behind the mountains, guests made their way to The Audrium — a space designed for moments just like this. Plush seats, warm lighting, and the scent of fresh popcorn set the tone for an unforgettable screening. The film? Casino Royale. The feeling? Pure anticipation and shared delight. There’s something magical about watching a film surrounded by vineyards, with a glass of MCC in hand and the hum of good company all around.
When the credits rolled, the night was far from over. Dinner at Stoep awaited — the kind that lingers long after the last bite. A grilled chicken roulade filled with cream cheese and chives, served with wilted spinach, sun-dried tomatoes, golden potato dice, and wrapped in delicate pastry. Comforting, unpretentious, and full of flavour — just how we like it. And for dessert, our famous Melktert Martini — the cocktail that’s quickly becoming a Laborie signature.
The best dressed of the night, Shaista, stunned in a vintage-inspired look and walked away with a two-night stay in our new Vineyard View Suites. It was the perfect ending to a night that celebrated connection, creativity and the vineyard village magic of the Estate.
